Budget Reviews: A review of departmental budgets took place with the primary focus on the Fire Department. A substantial increase in FY 05 budget over FY04 is being requested. Mark Bredenfoerder , the Fire Chief gave an in depth brief illustrating the safety improvements he wants to make to protect his staff. He was asked to provide further details.
Susan Voudren, Assessor and Town Clerk, gave a presentation on her department and an explanation of her budget request.
Tour of Highway Department: An informational tour of the Highway Department was given to all meeting attendees with the intention of showing the roof damage and general condition of the building that houses both the Highway Department and Fire Department.
It was agreed that an attempt at a capital improvement on the facility should and will be made this year.
Finance Advisory Committee Membership: Mr. Dave Barney was asked if he wanted to join the TFAC and he accepted.
Meeting Schedule: The selectmen requested that the Fin Com meet once a month. This suggestion was happily accepted and the meetings will take place on a night other than Monday.
Meeting dismissed at 2110.
